Clijsters Out of Action With Foot Injury

U.S. Open champion Kim Clijsters will be out of action for at least a month due to an infection on her right foot.
On Twitter Tuesday, Clijsters said that she: “Had a mole removed under my right foot and the wound got infected." She even included a photo of the scar.

The WTA Tour confirmed that Clijsters has withdrawn from the Chin Open, which runs Oct. 2-10.

Clijsters is currently ranked number five in the world.
