The USTA Eastern Long Island Region recently participated in Healthy Hempstead Day, a 5K Race/Walk-A-Thon and Health Fair in the Incorporated Village of Hempstead. Long Island tennis pros coordinated the USTA’s special 10 & Under tennis program, in which courts are shorter, rackets smaller and balls lighter to make the game more child-friendly.

The USTA Eastern LI Region also provided its "I Love LI Tennis" t-shirts to participants.
