The USTA has announced its entertainment lineup and fan enhancements for the 2014 U.S. Open Finals Weekend.  Again this year, $25 grounds passes will be available for fans so that they can access all activities outside of Arthur Ashe Stadium, including the conclusion of the American Collegiate Invitational, the Boys and Girls Junior Singles finals, the U.S. Open Wheelchair Championships, and special viewing of the Women’s Singles Final.

Multi-talented recording artist and actor, Nick Jonas, who first performed on the grounds of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center at 12-years-old during Arthur Ashe Kids Day, will perform “God Bless America,” prior to the Women’s Singles Final on Sunday, Sept. 7. Jonas will be backed by a string quartet for the performance. The first single from his solo album, “Jealous,” will be released Sept. 8. Patina Miller, who won a Tony Award for her performance in Broadway’s “Pippin,” and who will be featured in the upcoming television series “Madam Secretary” on CBS,  will perform “America the Beautiful” prior to the Men’s Singles Final, on Monday. Both ceremonies will include the traditional unfurling of a giant American Flag across the court by members of the U.S. Marines Corps.

Over the course of Finals Weekend, the tournament will feature a host of activities on the outer courts. For the first time, both the Girls and Boys Junior Finals will be played back-to-back on Court 17 on Sunday. The USTA, utilizing the new Intelligent Production system, will stream both of these finals live on USOpen.org. Following the Junior Finals, fans can remain at Court 17 for a special viewing of the Women’s Singles Final. The American Collegiate Invitational will conclude Saturday, Sept. 6, and the U.S. Open Wheelchair Championship will feature six finals, with all doubles competition concluding on Saturday, and the singles finals being held on Sunday.

On the final day of the tournament, just prior to the Men’s Singles Final, long-time CBS broadcaster and Tennis Hall-of-Famer Tony Trabert will be inducted into the U.S. Open Court of Champions. The two-time U.S. Nationals Champion was not able to travel to New York, but will be represented by his children Michael and Brooke. The ceremony will be hosted by his former colleague and present-day CBS Sports broadcaster Mary Carillo and 1970 U.S. Open Champion Stan Smith will serve as the special guest speaker.
