Stan Wawrinka won his first match since being crowned champ at the French Open, downing Australia’s Nick Kyrgios 6-3, 6-4 at the Queens Club in London to reach the Aegon Championships second-round.

Wawrinka needed just 49 minutes to dispatch Kyrgios, who said afterwards that he has felt sick and fatigued.

“I’ve been sick for the last week,” said Kyrgios. “I’m probably going to stay in my house for a couple of days, sleep, play computer games, chill out, not think about tennis, turn off all the channels, delete my ATP app, and I won’t think about tennis for a week or so.”

Top-seeded Andy Murray also had a winning debut at the Queens Club, defeating Yen-Hsun Lu of Chinese Taipei 6-4, 7-5 to advance.

Rafael Nadal did not share the same fate as Wawrinka and Murray on Tuesday. Ukraine’s Alexandr Dologopolov beat the Spaniard 6-3, 6-7(6), 6-4, only a couple of days after Nadal lifted the trophy in Stuttgart.

American John Isner also advanced Tuesday, downing fellow American Jared Donaldson 7-6(11), 6-4.
