German teenager Alex Zverev continued his run at the SkiStar Swedish Open on Friday, beating sixth-seed Brazilian Thomaz Bellucci 5-7, 6-4, 6-2 to reach his second career ATP World Tour semifinal.

Zverev converted seven of his nine break points to dominate the final two sets and win in two hours and 28 minutes.

“He played unbelievable the first two sets,” said Zverev. “So I just had to get into the match somehow and luckily I got the win in the end. I’m really happy to be in the semifinals. I’m looking forward to tomorrow.”

Zverev will look to take out his third straight seeded opponent when he takes on second-seeded Spaniard Tommy Robredo in the semis. Robredo, a two-time champion at this tournament, picked up a routine 6-3, 6-3 win over Paul-Henri Mathieu on Friday.

Robredo saved all three five points he faced and notched three of his own to move past the French qualifier in straight sets.

The other semifinal in Bastad will see third-seeded Uruguayan Pablo Cuevas play France’s Benoit Paire.

Cuevas beat Germany’s Steve Darcis 6-3, 6-4, while Paire moved past Uzbekistan’s Denis Itomin 6-4, 6-2 on Friday.
