Manhasset Rolls Past Locust Valley in Opener

On a cold Tuesday afternoon, the Manhasset Indians won its season opener, moving past Locust Valley 7-0.

Manhasset co-captain Eric Yu led the way at first singles. The junior defeated Locust Valley’s Carsten Bessel 6-1, 6-2 to help seal the victory. At second doubles, senior co-captain Greg Cariett paired up with freshman Steve Salerno to notch a key victory.

Also in Conference I, Roslyn defeated Great Neck North 6-1. The win was clinched by Evan Kirsh and Josh Cohen who picked up a 6-1, 6-1 victory at second doubles. Newcomers Adrian Tsui and Jordan Freeman got their Roslyn debuts off to a good start by picking up a win at third doubles.
