New Saturday Training Program Announced for Juniors

Long Island Tennis Services is offering a new Saturday training program for junior players designed to introduce new players to the game of tennis and prepare those with some experience for tournament and team play. The affordably-priced Early Training Program, offered at a price of $100 per child (with a 10 percent discount for the second child in the same family) for 10 two-hour sessions weekly, is available for children ages five through 18.

Long Island Tennis Services is a registered National Junior Tennis & Learning program and a USTA organizational member operating in the USTA Eastern Long Island Region. The program will be run under the direction of USTA Eastern Long Island Region President Daniel Burgess who has 35 years of coaching experience and is a USPTA P1 certified coach. All coaches in the Long Island Tennis Services program are certified by USPTA and/or PTR.

The program incorporates the USTA QuickStart format for younger stars up to age 10 and a comprehensive instructional curriculum for teen and pre-teen champions.

The sessions will take place at Hempstead Lake Indoor Tennis, located at 525 Eagle Avenue in West Hempstead, N.Y. Participants can choose from 6:00 a.m.- 8:00 a.m. or 5:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. time slots on Saturdays and classes began Saturday, March 3.
