Two More LI Teams Headed to USTA Nationals

Two more teams from USTA Leagues representing Long Island have qualified for the USTA Adult League Nationals. The recently formed Sportime Massapequa Women's 3.0 55+ USTA team came in first place in Albany at the USTA Sectionals this past weekend, are now headed to the Nationals in Arizona the end of October.

"The Sectionals were a wonderful experience, and we are so excited to be going to the Nationals in Arizona,” said Angela Scarnato. “Captains Lori DeCostanza and Loretta Brennan are great at teaming the players together to make a winning squad!”

Sportime Massapequa Women's 3.0 55+ team is comprised of Loretta Brennan (co-captain), Barbara Brenseke, Lori DeCostanza (captain), Florence Halpern, Edith Messineo, Alissa Sausner, Angela Scarnato and Geraldine Tebeau.

The 55 & Over 9.0 Men, also from Long Island, have advanced to Nationals in Arizona as well. This marks third year in a row that these Long Island seniors have made it to the Nationals. Congratulations to the 55 & Over 9.0 Men’s team of Doug Barrow, Rick Bates, David Brent, Lilo Casesa, Bruce Eiber, Mark Harrison, Ron Kahn, Rick Liebman, Bob Litwin, Dennis Mah, Bob McKenna, Steve Siegel and Ed Wolfarth (captain).
