Both the men’s and women’s tennis at Stony Brook wrapped up its regular seasons on Tuesday afternoon, and each notched 5-2 victories over Long Island-foe Hofstra.

The men’s team was led by its singles play, notching wins in first, third, fourth and fifth singles. Raphael Termat beat Marcus Smith 6-2, 7-6(4) in the first singles flight to lead the way for the Seawolves.

The women’s team won by the same score line. After winning the doubles point, the Seawolves won four of the singles flights, led by Elizabeth Tsvetkov’s 6-0, 6-3 win at first singles over D’Asha Davis.

“Two solid victories for both squads and that is a great way to build momentum as we had to the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Championship next week,” head coach Gary Glassman told StonyBrookAthletics.com.

Stony Brook will look to carry that momentum into the MVC tournament, which gets underway on Friday, April 28.
