The evening of March 24th brought fun for the whole family to the Eastern Athletic Club in Blue Point, N.Y. as the Stony Brook University Family Fun Fest and Fundraiser was held where members of the Stony Brook University Seawolves men's and women's tennis teams were on hand to provide lessons, instructional drills and play points with members of the local community.

A fundraising Pro-Am for the USPTA was held at Sportime Kings Park Sunday night featuring some of Long Island's top professional and amateur players. Eight pros and eight amateurs teamed up for high-level doubles play in a round robin format to raise money for the USPTA's Eastern Section.

USTA Serves, the National Charitable Foundation of the United States Tennis Association, has announced that it has granted 41 community tennis and education organizations in the U.S. more than $400,000 in grants. Combined with scholarship awards, USTA Serves distributed more than $1.5 million in 2011.

Several of the biggest names in tennis came together at the 19th annual WTT Smash Hits presented by GEICO at Cleveland Public Hall, raising more than $500,000 for the Elton John AIDS Foundation and the AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland. Team Elton rallied to win the match over Team Billie Jean 19-18 in front of a crowd of 3,477 fans.
