The United States Tennis Association (USTA) Eastern Long Island Region has scheduled its 22nd Annual Awards Dinner for Wednesday, May 9 at the Crest Hollow Country Club, located at 8325 Jericho Turnpike in Woodbury, N.Y.

As one of the largest non-for profit organizations in the world, the USTA is driven by many dedicated individuals who donate their time and effort to help develop and grow the sport we all love. In having so many willing volunteers, the USTA holds workshops to help instill in their volunteers the core values they should be coaching to their tennis students as well as recognizes them for their hard work and dedication.

On Jan. 29-30, 2010, USTA Eastern used its Annual Meeting as a forum for volunteers to meet and discuss strategies to grow tennis throughout the section. The meeting, called “You Serve 2010,” was held at the Renaissance Westchester Hotel in White Plains, N.Y. and attracted more than 130 participants from across New York and New Jersey.
