After coming one victory short of first place in the Eastern Conference last year, the New York Sportimes of World TeamTennis (WTT) look to rebound in 2012 as the team will play seven July home dates this season, including five at the Sportime Randall’s Island Tennis Center and two at SEFCU Arena at the University of Albany.

The New York Sportimes completed another successful season of World TeamTennis (WTT) action this summer. Home matches were played at both Sportime Stadium at Randall’s Island (five matches) and the SEFCU Arena in Albany, N.Y. (two matches).

Sportimes Stadium at Randall’s Island was bubbling with excitement last night as the New York Sportimes took on the Washington Kastles in World TeamTennis action to close out the 2011 WTT season. Despite impressive play from the Sportimes team, the Kastles proved too much to handle as they clinched the top spot in the Eastern Conference with a 23-15 win.

The 2010 Annual USPTA Eastern Conference is set for Monday-Tuesday, May 17-18, 2010 and it will be hosted at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens. The two-day event brings together some of the sport's top professionals, who will be on hand to discuss the sport and deliver presentations on improving your game, to committee meetings, to networking receptions.

The 2010 World TeamTennis Pro League season will be highlighted by head-to-head matches between five former and current world number one-ranked players–Martina Hingis, Venus Williams, Kim Clijsters, Lindsay Davenport and current world number one Serena Williams–during the three-week season, which starts July 5. League officials have released the 73-match season schedule for the 10 WTT franchises.
