As one of the largest non-for profit organizations in the world, the USTA is driven by many dedicated individuals who donate their time and effort to help develop and grow the sport we all love. USTA Player Development has announced the hirings of Stanford Boster as a USTA National Coach for Men’s Tennis and Jayadeva Devashetty as a USTA National Coach. Boster and Devashetty have already begun their responsibilities and will facilitate coaching and training for players in the USTA Player Development program.

Grace Min, a 17-year-old from Duluth, Ga., upset top-seeded Caroline Garcia of France 7-5, 7-6(3), to win the 2011 U.S. Open Junior Girls singles title on Sunday at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, N.Y. Garcia is currently ranked 138th in the WTA rankings while Min is ranked 550th.

Roger Federer, a five-time U.S. Open champion, has held off the 11th-seeded Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France in straights sets Thursday, 6-4, 6-3, 6-3. This quarterfinal match was rain delayed for one and a half hours after start time, with Federer still putting Tsonga off with a victory.
