Great Neck South moved to .500 on the season following a convincing 7-0 win over Valley Stream Central in Conference I-A play on Thursday afternoon. The Rebels were led by Landon Phillips, who defeated Adam Birch of the Eagles in third singles in straight sets 6-4, 6-3. Great Neck South now looks to build on this win as it has Wheatley and undefeated Cold Spring Harbor remaining on the schedule.

Great Neck South won third singles, first doubles, and third and fourth doubles to earn their second win in Conference I-A. Great play by David West & Eric Rofe at first doubles helped the duo pull out a three-set victory over Wheatley’s Evan Hirsch & John Zuckerman, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2.
