Now this is just getting a little weird. First the men’s side loses Andy Murray to which the women’s side loses Kim Clijsters. Yesterday, the men’s side lost Rafael Nadal, and that was followed up by the women losing Caroline Wozniacki.

Yesterday, the seeding ceremony took place at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, where the top 32 seeds were announced for this year's Wimbledon. For the most part, the men’s seeding generally followed their actual ATP ranking.

Sam Stosur, the woman who ousted Serena Williams and Justine Henin from the 2010 French Open, made it to the finals with a surprisingly easy straight set upset win over Jelena Jankovic, 6-1, 6-2. Stosur hardly lost focus at any point against Jankovic and seemed in complete control for the entire match. Stosur will now battle 17th-seeded Francesca Schiavone for the trophy.

Top-seeded Serena Williams defeated the 18th seed Shahar Peer by a score of 6-2, 6-2 to move into the women's quarterfinals of the 2010 French Open. Serena took only 67 min. to take out Peer, and Serena is the only American singles player, on the men's or women's side, still alive at Roland Garros. In other action, Samantha Stosur ended Justine Henin's 24-match winning streak at the French Open by a score of 2-6, 6-1, 6-4. Stosur was a semifinalist at the 2009 French Open.

Jelena Jankovic rolled to a surprisingly easy 6-0, 6-1 win Thursday over Venus Williams in the quarterfinals of the Italian Open. Williams struggled with her serve throughout the match and could never really get going. Unforced errors were ultimately her downfall.

In the men's final at Indian Wells, big serving Croatian Ivan Ljubicic defeated Andy Roddick 7-6 (3), 7-6 (5) Sunday to win the BNP Paribas Open. Ljubicic served big all match and finished with 20 aces. There were no service breaks in the two-hour final and he closed the match out with a service winner.
