This Sunday, March 6, the 2nd Annual Long Island Tennis Expo will take place at Farmingdale State College's Roosevelt Hall (Expo Room and Auditorium), located at 2350 Broadhollow Road in Farmingdale, N.Y. Doors open for this free event at 10:00 a.m., and the first 250 attendees will be eligible to win tickets for the 2011 U.S. Open.

Senior Cory Parr of Jericho, N.Y. was a top-ranked junior player who grew up in Jericho, N.Y. and went on to an All-American collegiate career for the Demon Deacons of Wake Forest University. He was the third-highest winning men’s singles player in Wake Forest history.

For those who think being a tennis coach is easy … think again! Being a tennis coach is a full-time job in which, on top of the obvious time spent practicing, there are countless additional hours spent with parents and college coaches. Then, of course, there’s also the tournaments and travel. One coach who takes these responsibilities very seriously is Mike Kossoff.
