For the second tournament in a row, we've seen world number one Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark fall in her opening match of the Western & Southern Open, an Olympus U.S. Open Series event in Cincinnati. This time, Wozniacki was upset by young American teenager Christina McHale, 6-4, 7-5.

If Rafael Nadal is getting nervous as he eases closer to winning his fourth consecutive Grand Slam, he sure isn’t showing it. After his 6-2, 6-1, 6-1 win Thursday over American qualifier Ryan Sweeting at the 2011 Australian Open in Melbourne, the Spanish star will now take on local favorite, 18-year-old Australian Bernard Tomic.

The following is taken from American Vania King & Kazakhstanian Yaroslava Shvedova's post-match press conference on Monday, Sept. 13th after their Women's Doubles Finals Match at the 2010 U.S Open. The sixth-seeded women's doubles team of King & Shvedova were victorious over the second-seeded team of American Liezel Huber & Russian Nadia Petrova, 2-6, 6-4, 7-6(4) to capture the 2010 U.S. Open Women's Doubles Championship.

Each year, the U.S. Open brings us incredible entertainment, excitement and non-stop storylines right here in our own backyard. The 2009 U.S. Open was no different and it did not disappoint. As expected, the competitors came through and delivered two weeks worth of high intensity drama, upsets, Cinderella stories, hard-fought comebacks, introduced us to new stars in the making, and in the end, two new champions were crowned.
