The USTA has announced the 12 players nominated to the U.S. Olympic Tennis Teams for the 2012 Olympic Games in London, set for July 28-Aug. 5. U.S. women’s tennis coach Mary Joe Fernandez nominated a six-person team, with four singles entries and two doubles teams.

Tickets to the 2012 U.S. Open to the general public are now available, as the event is set to be played at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y., Monday, Aug. 27-Sunday, Sept. 9. Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day, presented by Hess, a full-day tennis and music festival for children and families, will kick off the U.S. Open for the 17th consecutive year and will take place on Saturday, Aug. 25.

Court 14 was the scene this morning at Roland Garros as Noah Rubin of Long Island took to the court for the third round of the 2012 Boys French Open Junior Singles Championships. The weather outside was windy, cold and drizzling at times, and the16-year-old Noah came in as the underdog against 18-year-old and third-seeded Liam Brody of Great Britain.

The USTA has announced the eight girls and seven boys who have been accepted into the main draw and the qualifying draw at the 2012 Roland Garros Junior French Championships. The main draw will be played June 3-10 at Roland Garros in Paris; qualifying will be played May 31-June 1. Among the group is Rockville Centre, N.Y.'s Noah Rubin. Rubin is ranked a career-high 17th and reached the semifinals at both the USTA International Spring Championships and the Easter Bowl.
