Day Six of the 2011 U.S. Open featured a number of seeded players advancing to next week's Final Round of 16. Both the men's and women's top seeds advanced as Serbian Novak Djokovic defeated Russian Nikolay Davydenko, 6-3, 6-4, 6-2, and on the women's side, top-seeded Caroline Wozniacki from Denmark defeated Vania King of the United States, 6-2, 6-4.

The latest rankings have been released for for the men's and women's pro tours. Atop the ATP rankings, Rafael Nadal of Spain, the 2010 U.S. Open winner, with a wide margin of nearly 5,000 in ranking points. On the women's side, the injured Serena Williams leads the WTA rankings, coming in with 6,995 ranking points, followed closely behind Caroline Wozniacki who trails by slightly more than 1,000 points.
