In Monday action at the 2011 U.S. Open, a packed house in Louis Armstrong Stadium saw top-seeded Serbian Novak Djokovic survive an epic tie-breaker and advance in straight sets to the quarterfinals after defeating the number 22 seed, Ukranian Alexandr Dolgopolov, 7-6, 6-4, 6-2.

In Sunday action at the 2011 U.S. Open, 22-year-old American Donald Young reached the fourth round at a Grand Slam for the first time, beating 24th-seeded Juan Ignacio Chela from Argentina in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4, 6-3. A full house at the Grandstand gave Young a standing ovation as he celebrated the victory, pumping his fist and grinning widely. Young had 46 winners to Chela’s 19.

Day Six of the 2011 U.S. Open featured a number of seeded players advancing to next week's Final Round of 16. Both the men's and women's top seeds advanced as Serbian Novak Djokovic defeated Russian Nikolay Davydenko, 6-3, 6-4, 6-2, and on the women's side, top-seeded Caroline Wozniacki from Denmark defeated Vania King of the United States, 6-2, 6-4.

In Friday action at the 2011 U.S. Open, an all-American battle of native Nebraskans under the lights of Arthur Ashe Stadium closed out another great day of action, as 2003 U.S Open Champion Andy Roddick defeated 18-year-old Jack Sock, 6-3, 6-3, 6-4.

In Day Four action at the 2011 U.S. Open, the top seeds on both the men's and women's sides of the draw played under the lights of Arthur Ashe Stadium and both advanced to the next round.

Day three of the 2011 U.S. Open saw many great matches with an early upset by a 19-year-old American player. That player was Christina McHale of nearby Englewood Cliffs, N.J., who defeated the number eight-seed Marion Bartoli of France in straight sets, 7-6, 6-2.

Rafael Nadal from Spain saved seven set points in the second set and battled back from two breaks down in the third to beat Andrey Golubev of Kazakhstan, 6-3, 7-6, 7-5 on Tuesday under the lights in the first round action at the 2011 U.S. Open.

The USTA has announced that world number one-ranked and reigning Australian Open and Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic, reigning U.S. Open and French Open champion Rafael Nadal, and five-time U.S. Open champion Roger Federer lead the men’s singles field for the 2011 U.S. Open Tennis Championships.
