The USTA has announced that it will host a new U.S. Open Wild Card Playoff to award a men’s and women’s main draw singles wild card into the 2010 U.S. Open. The USTA and USTA Player Development announced that it has started programming at its new USTA Training Center-East, located at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y. Applications to participate in the program are still being accepted. The USTA Training Center-East will augment USTA Player Development operations at its existing sites—the USTA Training Center Headquarters in Boca Raton, Fla., and the USTA Training Center-West in Carson, Calif.—along with its network of Certified Regional Training Centers across the country.
