The USTA has announced the 14 teams that will compete in the first-ever U.S. Open National Playoffs–Mixed-Doubles Championship, Aug. 24-27, at the Connecticut Tennis Center at Yale in New Haven, Conn. Representing the USTA Eastern Region will be 30-year-old Bea Bielik from Valley Stream, N.Y. and her teammate, 27-year-old Darrin Cohen from Smithtown, N.Y.

Six-time U.S. Open Champion Chris Evert and ESPN’s Mike Greenberg will play a mixed-doubles match in the U.S. Open National Playoffs Eastern Qualifying event, Monday, April 18 at 1:00 p.m. at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

On Saturday April 9, 16 boys, ages 12 and under, took the courts at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center to compete in the Longines Future Tennis Aces event. They were all playing for the chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to the French Open to meet and play against tennis greats, Andre Agassi and Jim Courier at Roland Garros.
