The USTA League just completed its first local season of the Tri-Level League. The Tri-Level League is three courts of doubles with one court at the 3.5 level, one at the 4.0 level and the one at the 4.5 level. With Adult, Senior and Super Senior play beginning the week of May 18, its time to start thinking about the Tri-Level League which will begin this August. The Tri-Level League format is women’s teams, as well as men’s teams, consisting of three courts of doubles. One court is made up of players with a National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP) rank of 3.5, one is of players 4.0 and the third is of players rated 4.5. A team can have up to four players at each level.

League tennis continues to grow on Long Island, with more than 4,000 players on men’s and women’s adult teams, men’s and women’s Master’s (over 50) and Grand Master (over 60) teams, as well as mixed-doubles teams.
