Sue Hunt has been named the USTA’s Chief Marketing Officer, it was announced today by Gordon Smith, USTA Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer. Hunt will report to Kurt Kamperman, the Association’s Chief Executive, Community Tennis.

The USTA and Tennis Channel have announced that the network will present live broadcasts of the finals of the 2010 U.S. Open National Playoffs–Men’s and Women’s Championships. The men’s and women’s winners of the U.S. Open National Playoffs each receive a wild card entry into the 2010 U.S. Open qualifying draw.

The U.S. Open will take over Times Square in New York City on Monday, June 7, to launch the first day of the 2010 U.S. Open Ticket On-Sale and celebrate the U.S. Open, which will be played in Flushing, N.Y., Monday, Aug. 30 through Sunday, Sept. 12. “US Open Takes Times Square” will run from 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., on June 7.
