American John Isner captured the 2013 U.S. Men's Clay Court Championship in Houston with a 6-3, 7-5 win over top-seeded Spaniard Nicolas Almagro. For fifth seeded Isner, the runner-up in Houston last year, the title is his sixth on the ATP Tour but his first on clay and his performance drew the praise of his opponent.

Barclays ATP World Tour Finals hopeful Tomas Berdych defeated Estonia’s Jurgen Zopp 6-1, 6-4 in opening round action at the 2012 If Stockholm Open. The second-seeded Czech, who also recorded a straight-sets win over Zopp in the second round of the U.S. Open, broke serve three times en route to win over Zopp.

On Saturday April 9, 16 boys, ages 12 and under, took the courts at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center to compete in the Longines Future Tennis Aces event. They were all playing for the chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to the French Open to meet and play against tennis greats, Andre Agassi and Jim Courier at Roland Garros.
