The USTA and U.S. Fed Cup Captain Mary Joe Fernandez announced that 13-time Grand Slam Champion Serena Williams will be joined by Christina McHale, Sloane Stephens, and world number one doubles player Liezel Huber in representing the United States against Ukraine in the 2012 Fed Cup by BNP Paribas World Group Playoff at the Superior Golf & Spa Resort in Kharkiv, Ukraine, April 21-22.

Twenty-one-year-old Petra Kvitova from the Czech Republic, the 2011 Wimbledon champion, has been named WTA Player of the Year for 2011 to cap off her amazing year. Currently, Kvitova has a 60-13 record, earning six singles titles, including her first Grand Slam title at Wimbledon and the TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships.

The USTA and U.S. Fed Cup Captain Mary Joe Fernandez announced today that her core group of Bethanie Mattek-Sands, Melanie Oudin, and former world number one doubles player Liezel Huber will be joined by Christina McHale, who recently broke into the top 100 for the first time, in representing the U.S. against Germany in the 2011 Fed Cup by BNP Paribas World Group Playoff in Stuttgart, Germany, April 16-17.

The USTA and U.S. Fed Cup Captain Mary Joe Fernandez have announced that world number one-ranked and 13-time Grand Slam singles champion Serena Williams and world number four-ranked and five-time Wimbledon singles champion Venus Williams have committed to representing the U.S. in the 2010 Fed Cup by BNP Paribas World Group Final against Italy on an indoor hard court at the San Diego Sports Arena in San Diego, Nov. 6-7.
