More than 40 of the best girls in the east, ages 8 to 12, came to Central Park in early September to hear tennis legends Steffi Graf and Billie Jean King talk to them about their involvement in junior tennis. After their speeches, Graf stuck around for nearly three hours to work on the court with the kids.

Frank Dolen and Steven Kaplan were also on hand and performed a movement screen on all of the players off-court to test and evaluate their functional mobility and strength, stability and flexibility. Kaplan then addressed the girls with long-range advice about their plans for playing college tennis in the near future. Many thanks to all who made this event the success that it was.
