For the third consecutive season, the Syosset High School Girls Tennis team won the Nassau County Championships. Syosset defeated Port Washington in the finals, 6-1, to win the 2011 crown.

Recently crowned Nassau County Singles Champion Hannah Camhi led the way for Syosset winning in straight sets. Also winning in straight sets for Syosset were Katie Cirella, who defeated Olga Kosheva in singles, 6-3, 6-2, and the second doubles team of Haley O'Rourke & Alexa Sternschein who knocked off Port Washington's Holly Hubsher & Robin Mehta, 6-4, 6-1.

Syosset will now wait to see who they will face in the Long Island Championship where they will also be looking for their third straight Long Island title. Syosset, currently 16-0 on the 2011 season, will be looking to cap off an undefeated season. The 2011 Girls High School Long Island Championship will be played on Nov. 1st at a neutral site.
