Penn Racquet Sports Inc. and parent, Head USA Inc., have filed a federal lawsuit against Dunlop International Ltd. and Dunlop Sports Group Americas Inc. over false advertising claims in U.S. District Court in Connecticut. In the suit, Penn contends that Dunlop is misleading the consumer by labeling its brand the "World's Number One Ball," while claiming a 70 percent share of the global tennis ball market.

Penn has argued that Dunlop does not have the largest share globally and that it should not be allowed to use the claim as manufacturer of the "World's Number One Ball." The suit says Dunlop agreed to stop using the "World Number One" claim but hasn't.
