Family Fun for Everyone at the First Annual New York Tennis Expo’s Activity Zone and Kids Zone

Long Island Tennis Magazine and New York Tennis  Magazine have assembled a full day of activities and fun for kids and adults at the First Annual New York Tennis Expo, set for Sunday, April 28 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, N.Y. Doors for the event will open at 10:30 a.m. and the event will run through 4:30 p.m.

First Annual New York Tennis Expo Activity Zone

►Speed Serve Booth, presented by Sportime/John McEnroe Tennis Academy: Step up to the baseline and give it your best shot. We will have a radar gun so you can see how fast you are hitting those big serves.

►10 & Under Tennis, presented by IMG Academy featuring Nick Bollietieri and Christopher Morley Park Tennis: The instructors from Christopher Morley Park Tennis will instruct kids throughout the
day, along with having open play opportunities as well. World-renowned coach Nick Bollietieri
will make scheduled appearances to teach the kids throughout the day. Take advantage of
this opportunity to learn from the best in the business!

►Hit for Prizes Court: Demo the latest and greatest in rackets and take a few forehands and backhands at targets for a chance to win fantastic prizes. The Hit for Prizes Court will be presented by the following:

From 10:30 a.m.-Noon … Bolt Sports & The Molloy College Women’s Tennis Team
From Noon-1:30 p.m. … Head Tennis & The New York Tennis Academy
From 1:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. … Holabird Sports & Bethpage Park Tennis Center

►College Player Challenge, presented by the St. John’s University Men’s & Women’s Tennis Teams: Come get a chance to play on one of the National Tennis Center’s main stadium courts and take on an elite group of players from the St. John’s University Men’s & Women’s Tennis Teams. Win points against them and win great prizes!

►Obstacle Course, presented by Sports Pro Camps: Run through a fitness obstacle course and see how you stack up against the competition. Another chance to win amazing prizes.

►Outdoor Parent/Child Deck Area, presented by the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center: Parents and children will get to play together on two 60' sport courts, and three 36' sport courts set up for open play outside on top of the deck.

►Tours of the National Tennis Center (small fee): Don't miss your chance to get a behind-the-scenes look at Arthur Ashe Stadium Court and the U.S. Open locker room area. A small fee will be charged by the National Tennis Center in order to take this tour.

►Ping-Pong Table Area: Challenge your friend or challenge one of the nationally-ranked players who will be on
hand at our Ping-Pong Table.

►New York Tennis Magazine Cover Photos: Have your picture taken by a professional photographer with Arthur Ashe Stadium in the background, to be made into a mock New York Tennis Magazine cover for you to have as an event souvenir.

►DJ Curtis McCalla: DJ Curtis McCalla of Sportime will keep everyone entertained with great music and energy throughout the day.

►Prizes, Raffles and Giveaways: Throughout the event there will be prizes, raffles and giveaways. All you have to do to win is be present at the First Annual New York Tennis Expo! Some of the prizes include:
