Looking to play college tennis
  | By Long Island Tennis Magazine Staff

It has been a little less than a year that Tennis to the Max started as the brainchild of Sports Psychologist Consultant Tina Greenbaum and tennis instructor Fred Sperber. The unique program combines the essential elements of working on the mental side of competing with the game’s technical components. As the program approaches its second year, and as a result of its initial success, plans are underway to branch out its geographical reach to include classes throughout Long Island along with several in Nassau County and New York City.

What sets the program apart from all other tennis programs is the unique nature of its approach. Clearly a player can take a lesson from any number of countless pros to work on the technical elements of stroke making and there are sports psychologists who can charge large sums of money to help players gain confidence and composure on the court. But Tennis to the Max accomplishes both at the same time.

Tennis to the Max is excited to announce its greatly expanded summer programming. We have been getting requests to come to the five boroughs, as well as Westchester and Connecticut and Tennis to the Max is now ready to honor some of those requests.

2-Hour Complimentary Introductory Sessions
In these Free 2-hour introductory workshops you'll get an overview of the strategies needed to overcome the "mental" obstacles that prevent you from taking your game to the next level, including:
1. How to quiet down your negative self talk.
2. Where to put your focus while practicing and playing a match.
3. Being able to identify not only what you're doing wrong, but how to make the necessary corrections.
4. Learning how to stay calm under pressure.
5. Recognizing what you can control and what's out of your control during a match.
