The 2013 Long Island Girls High School season is winding down and playoff time is here, as the playoffs continued in Nassau County, got underway in Suffolk County and concluded in the Catholic league.

Our Lady of Mercy Academy took home the CHSAA Championship with a 5-2 win over St Anthony's. This was the fifth straight CHSAA Title for Mercy.

The Suffolk County playoffs got underway, as Westhampton defeated Eastport-South Manor 5-2. Westhampton advances to play Islip today. Three other matchups will also be played today with the Round of 16 beginning on Tuesday.

In Nassau County, Valley Stream South defeated New Hyde Park 5-2 to advance to the Conference IV Finals against Division Avenue (Levittown). Today at 3:00 p.m., the Nassau Girls Championship match for Conference I will be played as Manhasset will face Port Washington at Wheatley High School.
