After a loss to Great Neck South last week, Hewlett bounced back on Monday afternoon as it traveled to play Wheatley in a Conference I-A match. It was a closely played match, but Hewlett came out on top 4-3 to keep pace in the Conference I-A standings. The contest came down to the match in first singles between Hewlett’s Brandon Riemer and Wheatley’s Michael Schweitzer.

Reimer controlled the match, winning in straight sets 6-3, 6-3. The win will give Hewlett some momentum as it prepares for a big road contest against undefeated Cold Spring Harbor on Friday afternoon. Wheatley will travel to play Valley Stream Central on Friday afternoon.
