On day two of the 2010 French Open, the match of the day was between Andy Murray and hometown favorite, Frenchman Richard Gasquet. After losing the second set in a tie-breaker to go down two sets to none, Murray won the third set 6-4 before taking complete control in the last two sets for a 4-6 6-7 6-4 6-2 6-1 win.
In other action on day two, top women's seed Serena Williams won in straight sets as did the rest of the top five who were in action, Caroline Wozniacki, Jelena Jankovic and Elena Dementieva.
