The New Hyde Park Gladiators remained undefeated on the young season on Thursday afternoon, beating the Carey Seahawks 7-0 in a Conference III-B match to improve to 3-0 in 2015. The Gladiators were led by Steffi Antao, who downed Caira Walker in first singles to set the tone for the other six matches.

Up next for New Hyde Park is a road contest with Hicksville. Carey will visit Valley Stream Central next.

Also remaining undefeated on the season was Great Neck North, who got past Herricks 4-3 to move to 4-0 on the season.

The clinching match came from the racquets of Laura Mardkha & Amy Shteyman, who beat Paola Velazquez & Bhakti Patel 4-6, 7-6(3), 6-4 at third doubles to anchor the victory.

Great Neck North plays Wheatley next, while Herricks will look to rebound from its first loss of the season against Cold Spring Harbor.

In Conference III-A, Plainedge moved to 2-1 on the season with a 6-1 win over Carle Place. Michelle Carnovale led the way for Plainedge, winning 6-0, 6-0 at first singles, and Kaitlyn Byrnes & Nadine Ciardulli won at second and third singles, respectively, to guide the Red Devils to the win.

Plainedge will travel to Baldwin next, while Carle Place hits the road to take on Farmingdale.
