Syosset Downs Roslyn To Stay Undefeated

The defending Nassau County champion Syosset Braves remained undefeated on the season, defeating Roslyn 6-1 on Friday afternoon to improve to 12-0 overall and 11-0 in Conference I play.

In a matchup of two of the top teams in Nassau County’s top conference, the Braves were led by its singles play. Neel Rajesh continued his dominant play at first singles, beating Sangjin Song 6-2, 6-1, and sophomore Eli Grossman clinched the match for Syosset with a 6-1, 7-6(3) triumph over Evan Kirsch.

Syosset has now won its last 27 matches dating back to last season’s run to a county championship. It will next host Great Neck North while Roslyn will host Port Washington.

Also on Friday, East Meadow beat West Hempstead 6-2 while out in Suffolk County, Mattituck got past Rocky Point 5-2.
