TC Entertainment and The Event Group have announced "A Special Evening With Andre Agassi," a once in a lifetime public event to be held on Thursday, Sept. 2 in New York City at The Town Hall, located at 123 West 43rd Street, at 8:00 p.m. Agassi’s appearance will coincide with this year’s U.S. Open to allow tennis fans the opportunity to have an intimate night with the star. Hosted by legendary sports journalist Rick Reilly, the evening’s format will be a combination of interview, real-time talk show, tribute and roast followed by a question and answer session with the audience.

After turning pro at the age of 16, tennis prodigy Andre Agassi rose to international fame, earning 60 men’s singles titles, including eight Grand Slam singles championships, over a 20-year career. A former world number one-ranked player, Agassi is the only male player ever to win all four Grand Slam titles and an Olympic gold medal. He was also a member of three winning Davis Cup teams (1990, 1992 and 1995). In addition, Agassi has been referred to as the greatest service returner in the history of the sport of tennis. Also to his credit, Agassi is the founder of the Andre Agassi Foundation for Education that has raised more than $70 million dollars for at-risk children living in Southern Nevada. Standing out early in his career for his charisma and bold fashion statements, Agassi has played a key role in bringing attention and popularity to the sport of tennis.

Agassi recently published his critically acclaimed autobiography Open: An Autobiography, a soul-bearing story of his success, struggles and relationship with the game of tennis that made him a superstar. Signed copies of the trade paperback edition of Andre Agassi’s book Open will be available at the event or online through www.ticketmaster.com with the purchase of any ticket. This inimitable evening will be moderated by noted sports journalist and commentator Rick Reilly, who was voted National Sportswriter of the Year 11 times. He is the back-page columnist for ESPN The Magazine, a front-page columnist for ESPN.com and an essayist for ESPN "SportsCenter."

Tickets for this unique event are priced at $95 and $150. There are a limited number of VIP packages priced at $250 that include a private, pre-show meet and greet and cocktail party with Andre Agassi and Rick Reilly.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by logging on to www.ticketmaster.com or by calling (800) 745-3000. For more information on this event, log on to www.the-townhall-nyc.org
