Suffolk Playoffs Continue on Tuesday

The regular season in Nassau County comes to a close this week as the top teams begin to prepare for the playoffs, and there was plenty of action to recap from Monday afternoons matches.

Syosset continued to roll, remaining undefeated with a 6-1 win over Port Washington. Eli Grossman continued his winning ways with a 7-6(5), 6-3 to help push the Braves to 12-0 on the season.

Elsewhere in Conference I, Cold Spring Harbor downed Great Neck North 5-2, as Nick Goldman and Chris Vallone picked up a 6-3, 6-1 win at second doubles, and Max Harouche came back from a set down to win 5-7, 6-1, 6-0 at second singles to lead the way.

Plainview got past Friends Academy with a 6-1 victory. Alex Fried and Nick Dechiaro won in straight sets at first doubles to anchor the victory.

The Cyclones of South Side moved to 8-5 on the season with a 6-1 triumph over Plainedge in Conference II-B play on Monday.

Wantagh remained undefeated on the year, moving past Uniondale 7-0. Raul Fernandez led the way for a 6-0, 6-1 win at second singles, while Tristan Cruz and Tom Deedy defeated Kenny Serrano and Elliot Hilaire 6-2, 6-2 at second doubles.
