The FIFA World Cup, Tour de France, Lebron, Melo ... forget about it!

The biggest local sports news for Long Island tennis fans is Noah Rubin. He's the 2014 Wimbledon Boy's Champion, which is a truly remarkable achievement, but not his biggest accomplishment of the week.

He also announced that he's going to Wake Forest University, and by choosing to pursue college greatly advanced his opportunities in tennis and beyond. New NCAA rules ensure his education, so that even if he leaves after a year, he can return for a degree. It's a guaranteed contract worth over $1 million in future earnings and a great decision to ensure his success.

Bravo Noah, well done!
