Batting lead-off and speaking first about the path to college tennis at the Long Island Tennis Expo had its advantages and disadvantages.  Firstly, nobody could steal my material!!! Also, I didn't have time to sit around and question what I should talk about.  Unfortunately, the audience got more populated as the talk went on so I got only 50% capacity. Also, some audience members asked questions that didn't really get great answers.  If I went last darn it, I could have been the hero and saved the day. Thank you LI Tennis for giving me this blog.  I hope the person who asked these questions will see it.

Question 1: Is there a place that I can find out what junior rankings a college generally looks for?

Answer:  YES!! Call it a plug, but the answer is they can be purchased at juniortennisconsulting.com for about 20 bucks.  These lists kick you know what...

Question 2: Can I child who has no ranking and hasn't played tournaments get a tennis scholarship?

Answer: Unless this child was a Williams sister, no college is going to give money to a kid who hasn't played a tournament.

Question 3: Who is your favorite female tennis player?

Answer: Wozniacki!!!!
