The Plainview JFK Hawks edged Great Neck North 4-3 in a Conference I showdown on Wednesday.

The match came down to the third doubles court, as the two teams split the previous six flights. Plainview’s Alex Wright and Sam Weissman fell behind in each set but continued to fight and defeated Elliot Hakimian and Avery Nabavian 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 to clinch the Plainview victory.

Jericho received wins at all four doubles flights to get past Manhasset 5-2, including a 6-3, 6-4 win from Adam Garten and David Khaimov at fourth doubles.

Roslyn nailed down a 5-2 triumph over Port Washington. Michael Bruck and Jordan Freeman won 6-1, 6-3 over Ryan Siegel and Rajen Parekh at second doubles to help lead the way.

The top of the Conference II-B standings in Nassau continues to be tight as Massapequa and South Side notched victories on Wednesday.

Robert Cecala and Aidan Valentine led the way for Massapequa as they won 6-4, 7-5 over Liam Fagan and Alex Utrecht in the Chiefs’ 5-2 win over Oceanside.

South Side beat Farmingdale 5-2 as Harry Swett picked up his first singles win with a 6-4, 6-4 win at third singles and Russell Scala and Jim Hennessy got their first career win with a 6-1, 6-3 doubles at fourth doubles.

West Hempstead beat Valley Stream North 5-2 behind the 7-5, 6-4 win from Matt Carlson and Terrell Figaro at third doubles.

Freeport won its second straight as it defeated Hempstead 5-2.
