Andy Murray continues to work his way back onto the tour after missing nearly a year with a hip injury. The Briton sought a wildcard entry into the Eastbourne International as he gets himself ready for Wimbledon.

“I’m looking forward to getting some more time on the grass courts at Eastbourne,” said Murray. “I played Davis Cup there in 2006 and I know the courts and facilities there are excellent.”

The two-time Wimbledon champion made his return to action on Tuesday at the Queen’s Club, but fell to Nick Kyrgios in a hard-fought match:

“It was good to get back to competition at Queen’s this week and I’m hoping to build on that next week.”
