The Syosset Braves are the three-time defending county champions.


The Nassau County playoff bracket was unveiled on Tuesday night, with Syosset and Roslyn checking in as the top two seeds in the draw.

Both programs receive byes into the quarterfinals. The Braves of Syosset will play the winner of eighth-seed Manhasset and ninth-seed Hewlett, while Roslyn awaits the victor between seventh-seed Cold Spring Harbor and Conference II-B champions Bellmore, the 10th seed.

Checking in as the third-seed is Plainview JFK, who finished at 9-5 in Conference I. The Hawks will take on the Conference III-B champions Mepham. The Pirates lost its season opener, but rattled off 13 straight wins to win its conference and clinch a playoff spot.

Great Neck North plays Massapequa, the winners of six-straight matches, in a matchup between the No. 6 and No. 11 seeds.

Port Washington, the fourth-seed, takes on 13th seed Glen Cove for a spot in the quarterfinals. The winner moves on to play either fifth-seed Jericho, or the winner between Wheatley and Great Neck South, who play a play-in match on Wednesday.
