As the new school year approaches, USTA Long Island has already begun its Net Generation School Training for the 2018-2019 year.

The program began this week in the Bayport-Blue Point School District. As part of the district’s Professional Development Day, 15 teachers came out for the three-hour workshop which was run by Fabiana Rezak.

“We are excited to get the teachers registered with Net Generation,” said Neil Thakur, USTA Eastern Tennis Service Representative for Long Island. “By doing so, they receive their free equipment and curriculum as they work with their local school partner, Eastern Athletic Club, to introduce tennis in their Physical Education Classes.”
