Port Washington advanced to the semifinals with a 4-3 victory over Jericho on Monday.

 

The last piece of the Nassau County Team Championships semifinal puzzle was put into place on Monday, as the Port Washington Vikings claimed a spot in the final four with a 4-3 victory over Jericho.

Gabrielle Brancatelli defeated Michael Wexler 6-1, 6-1 at first singles, but Jericho would take the second and third singles flights.

Port Washington’s doubles teams stepped up for the victory, winning three of the four flights. The fourth doubles team of Charlie Dash and Allon Pevzner clinched the team win with a 6-3, 6-2 win against Adam Garten and David Khaimov.

The Vikings move into the semifinals where it will take on three-time defending champion and top-seed Syosset. Roslyn takes on Plainview JFK in Nassau’s other semifinal.
