Once again, it will be Port Washington and Syosset battling it out for the title of Nassau County Girls’ Large School Champion, after both teams won their respective semifinals on Friday afternoon.

Syosset ousted Manhasset 7-0, led by a comeback win by Zia Mukherjee at first singles, and the clinching win from Abby Glenn & Taylor Weinstock, who fought back to win 1-6, 6-4, 6-4 at third doubles.

For Port Washington, the pairing of Juliana Johnson & Gaby Sorin posted a 6-3, 2-6, 6-3 victory at second doubles to clinch their team’s 5-2 win over Roslyn. The Vikings got a first singles win from Dasha Perfiliev, and a second singles win from Ellie Ross, to help lead the way.

Port Washington and Syosset will renew their rivalry on Tuesday in the Nassau County Large School Championship, scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at Eisenhower Park.
