Brazilian teenager Thiago Seyboth Wild and China’s Xiyu Wang captured the U.S. Open Boys and Girls singles titles, respectively, this weekend at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows.

Seyboth Wild outlasted Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti 6-1, 2-6, 6-2, fighting back from a break down in the final set to rally for the victory.

“I just focused on myself and my tennis,” said Seyboth Wild. “I just kept everything simple.”

Wang, seeded third, defeated 11th seed Clara Burel of France 7-6(4), 6-2 in the girls’ final.

“In the first set I was a little bit nervous,” said Wang. “But I try to get used to the big court and try to enjoy this match.”

The title wraps up a fantastic season for Wang, who was a semifinalist at Wimbledon and reached the quarterfinals at the Australian Open and French Open.

Anton Matusevich and Adrian Andreev defeated the American pairing of Emilio Nava and Axel Nefve 6-4, 2-6, 10-8 in the boys’ doubles final, while Americans Cori Gauff and Caty McNally won the girls’ doubles title with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Hailey Baptiste and Dalayna Hewitt.
