The Syosset Braves notched its 55th straight victory, a streak that dates back a few seasons, with a 7-0 win over Plainview JFK on Wednesday afternoon.

Daniel Pellerito, Eli Grossman and Justin Oresky led the way for the Braves with victories at first, second and third singles, respectively, while the first doubles tandem of Zach Chan and Preet Rajpal clinched the Syosset victory with a 7-5, 6-0 against Nicholas DeChiaro and Sean Cohen. The Braves are now 3-0 this season.

Elsewhere in Nassau’s Conference I, Roslyn improved to 3-0 with a 7-0 triumph over Manhasset. Dion Park nailed down a key win for the Bulldogs as he beat Richard Kelly 6-4, 4-6, 10-2 at third singles to lead the way for Roslyn.

In a tightly-contested Nassau I showdown, Great Neck North got in the win column by edging Jericho 4-3. The match would come down to the third doubles match as Great Neck North’s Elliot Hakimian and Avery Nabavian fought back to beat Joshua Samuel and Hamza Malik 4-6, 6-4, 7-5 to secure the Blazers’ victory.

South Side got past Oceanside 4-3 in a key Nassau II-B matchup on Wednesday to improve to 3-0 on the season. The Cyclones won three of the first four flights to take the commanding advantage, only to see Oceanside win two doubles flights and bring the match to 3-3.

That left the match to be decided at first singles, and South Side’s Justin Seplowe dropped the first three games of the third set. But Seplowe rallied to win the next six games to win the match, and clinch the victory for South Side.

Massapequa, South Side’s next opponent, won its second straight with a 5-2 win against Valley Stream Central. Matthew Melillo and Anthony Guerriere knocked off Simon Kwok and Richard Wilson 6-3, 6-4 at third doubles to lead the Chiefs to its second consecutive win.

The Bethpage Golden Eagles won its first match of the season with a 6-1 victory over New Hyde Park. Bethpage was led by its senior captains, Matt Sikolyak and Alex Freedman, who won 6-0, 6-3.
