The teams are set for next week’s Suffolk County Large School Championship. Top-seed Ward Melville will take on second-seed Commack at Casamento Park in Bay Shore next Tuesday, May 31 after each team won their respective semifinals on Wednesday afternoon.
Aron Bursztyn led his Ward Melville team into the final with a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Max Astilean at first singles, guiding the Patriots to a 5-2 victory over East Hampton.
For Commack, James Yu scored a 6-2, 7-5 win at second singles as they defeated Hills East 5-2.
Both Ward Melville and Commack will enter the county championship undefeated.
