On Friday night, Aug. 27th, KIm Clijsters tried out a new sport ... baseball! The 2009 U.S. Open winner threw out the ceremonial first pitch at Citi Field before the Mets took on the Houston Astros. Clijsters overcame some jitters in trying out a new sport and threw a perfect strike to Mets catcher Henry Blanco. Kim also chatted with Mets third baseman David Wright during batting practice and then took a seat in the crowd to watch the Mets in their 2-1 victory over Houston. Clijsters will now turn her attention back to tennis as she begins her U.S. Open title defense Monday morning, Aug. 30 at 11:00 a.m. against Greta Arn in a first round match in Arthur Ashe Stadium Court.
